Gabbang. A Tausug musical instrument that was once the popular among the inhabitants of Sulu And its neigbouring province especially the Tausug tribe in the hinterland of the archipelago. Until today it is also popular as it was at the time of our late ancestor.
Even in Sabah, in Capital city Kota Kinabalu, Tausug or Suluk tribal community also love to hear this music compared to the other musical instrument. Though it is seldom heard nowadays but when Tausug woman marry they even make it as compulsory if not obligatory for their daughter wedding reception.
